New Year with a New Tron

Having watched Tron the original movie back in the 80s, watching Tron : Legacy is a good experience of realisation of how time has passed by. Although there's nothing much to shout about but it is more of a retrospect in life of then and now. I remember watching it in the cinema hall where the seats are hard and there's no head rest.

The 3D effect was very minimal and thank God I had season passes. Or else it would have been a total rip-off.

Nokia 5530 XpressMusic

If you are interested in the Nokia 5530 you probably would have found all the reviews by now. I got the phone about 2 weeks ago and here's my viewpoints which were not mentioned in the reviews.
Cons:
- The short cut is only limited to 4 applications. Although the screen has a lot of empty space but there's all you can put in.
- The battery casing is very delicate. Be sure to ask the shop keeper to show you how remove the cover.
- The switch on the side for switching off the screen is very loose and makes a plastic noise if you shake the phone.
- The delicate covers for the sim card, memory card and usb port is very flimsy. Be sure to be gentle.
-The radio feature does not have a equaliser to control sound output which is available for the music player.
- A fully charged battery can only last for 3 days.
- The earphones sucks. You really must push it into the ears or else it will fall out easily.
- No timer or stop watch features.
- Website navigation is quite difficult. Need to often enlarge the screen to select the links.
Pros:
- The touch screen is really sensitive. Easy selection.
- The screen colour is good.
- The screen switches direction when you turn the phone to the side. Especially good for typing sms. On sideways a full qwerty keyboard appears.
- Free software available at Nokia's website Ovi.com
- Can perform copy and paste of text by selection. Convenient for updated phone book.

Words of Thoughts

"Time out
World in a hurry
There’s more love than money changing hands
Lights out
Thinking out loud
Turn your back on the world outside
Night thoughts
No one can share
As darkness breaks through another day
Secrets
Talking out loud
Silence waits just a dream away
Forget lonely crowds, unfriendly faces
They’ll soon become familliar places
Before too long, before too long

Don’t be fooled by lovesongs and lonely hearts
You’re living in a twilight world" - Swing Out Sisters

Window of Opportunity

Every now and then we face a cross road. Whether it is a major or a minor decision, something has to be done. Doing the unknown can be rewarding and refusing could mean an opportunity that was missed. My advice is step a little closer to the window and look.

The Bright Round Sun

If ever there's a moment in life we like to live to see is our Sun. The ball of fire that never stops burning, giving heat, light and energy to life on earth. Suspended magnificently in the middle of our solar system spinning unrelentlessly . It is a sight to be awed during the morning when it started to appear and at the time it dissappears below the horizon. Showing a glow of yellow, orange and mild red twice a day shading an atmosphere of beginning and the end of daylight. A lovely sight to behold and admire.

Survival KL09 - Save Our Earth

Did you know that the Survival KL09 is at the National Science Centre (Pusat Sains Negara)? Oh yes, it is inside and the entrance fee is RM12 for an adult. But did you know that you 1st have to pay another entrance fee to get into the Science Centre. So a double charge. No where was it stated in the website www.survival.com.my. If you are planning to bring the family be sure to bring extra extra cash or else you will be disappointed.

National Science Centre

Have you ever been to the National Science Centre? Well I would say it is OK if there's no entrance fee. Many of the exhibits are in a shabby state. I got the feeling it is more for kids because some of the exhibits are made for the height of a child. If you want to sit or try out an exhibit you really need to bend down.
My wish is that the engineeers or technical persons there could spruce up the place to make it more attractive. Overall I rate it 2 out of 5.
