If you are interested in the Nokia 5530 you probably would have found all the reviews by now. I got the phone about 2 weeks ago and here's my viewpoints which were not mentioned in the reviews.
Cons:
- The short cut is only limited to 4 applications. Although the screen has a lot of empty space but there's all you can put in.
- The battery casing is very delicate. Be sure to ask the shop keeper to show you how remove the cover.
- The switch on the side for switching off the screen is very loose and makes a plastic noise if you shake the phone.
- The delicate covers for the sim card, memory card and usb port is very flimsy. Be sure to be gentle.
-The radio feature does not have a equaliser to control sound output which is available for the music player.
- A fully charged battery can only last for 3 days.
- The earphones sucks. You really must push it into the ears or else it will fall out easily.
- No timer or stop watch features.
- Website navigation is quite difficult. Need to often enlarge the screen to select the links.
Pros:
- The touch screen is really sensitive. Easy selection.
- The screen colour is good.
- The screen switches direction when you turn the phone to the side. Especially good for typing sms. On sideways a full qwerty keyboard appears.
- Free software available at Nokia's website Ovi.com
- Can perform copy and paste of text by selection. Convenient for updated phone book.
