Everywhere you go there's a party atmosphere complete with decorations and Christmas carols. It's a wonderful time and what more with the sale that is going on. Fantastic. Cheers!

Top of the World at Lin Min San

There's a secret place near Kuantan where the local folks go, to see the sun rise over hills and forests. Located in the obscure town of Sungai Lembing, the pathway leading to the foot hill of Bukit Panorama passes through shoplots, a school and a public library.

Climbing up the narrow steps takes a lot of endurance but the experience is worth it. In view that the sun rises just before 7 am, the journey up must begin at least an hour before in order to catch the magnificent view of the crimson sky and flowing white clouds. In addition to the fabulous scenery, the fresh cool air is a real treat. Be sure to enjoy some local dishes after the tiring walk at the food stalls located near the main road. The speciality are tomato mee , curry mee and the famous yong tau foo that are not only delicious but cheap.

Little critters

There's a phenomenon in Port Dickson that I didn't know about until I step on the shore of Teluk Kemang. There on the beach are thousands of tiny little crabs crawling across the sandy beach. Sensing my approach, the tiny crabs will either scurry further away with rapid motion with their pointy legs or hide into the burrows.
It's a wonderful sight and it's nature with its army of beach workers.

Sun & beach

What makes the beach so attractive? Must be the sea, sun, sand and sound of the waves. The feeling is just wonderful; sand between the toes, the sea lapping on the shore, sunshine burning on the skin and mesmerising sound of crashing water that seemed to go on and on. A break at the beach is really awesome. It really takes the stress away. So, for that rejuvenating feeling, head down to the nearest beach... and make it your day!

Gold Medal for the Courages

When I caught a glimpse of some dots on a high tension cable wires recently, I thought they were something hanging on them. But on a closer look, they were men working on the power lines.
If there's a medal for these men who risk their lives to work on them, it would definitely be a GOLD medal.
Wow, they are just amazing.

Beijing 2008 - Olympic Games

北京欢迎你 - "Bei Jing Huan Ying Ni"
Yeah!......... the Games of the 29th Olympiad has arrived. Today marks the beginning of the event that showcases a fantastic series of world class sports. The curtain raiser on 08/08/08 unfolds months and years of preparation that brought together in harmony of concept, art design, choreography, lighting, music arrangements and fireworks. The stunning display was amazing in the structurally mysteriously designed stadium called the Bird's Nest.
What's more amazing is the Mascots actually forms a sentence when put together. Cute!
One World, One Dream - Let the games begin...

Short Spiky Hair

What's the best thing about having a drastic change in hairstyle? It really draws attention. The reaction from others is just fantastic. Questions of why followed by compliments and approval makes the change worthwhile.

Personally, it's life transforming because wherever I go, the reflections I see from mirrors, windows, reflective door panels or even the shape of my shadow makes me feel different and new. It has a psychological effect of change and transformation. Furhemore, the feel of running my hand over the short cropped hair is really pleasurable. Felt like a permanent spiky fabric over my top.

What's next? A beard?

Cool Refreshing Lemon Tea

The simple pleasures of life can come from the simplest ordinary things. For instance the ingredients of slice lemon, sugar syrup, water and ice cubes in a tall glass makes such a refreshing drink on a hot sweltering day. Imagine the cool sweet sour taste just running down your throat with every gulp you take....it's delightful thirst quencher. Bravo!

Painting in the Sky

It is said that clouds don't form exactly the same way more than once. And how true it is. Clouds are fascinating. They make good subjects for photography because every formation and colour is different and unique. It is as though a new painting is in the sky everyday and it's free to view. With a bit of play of the camera and angling, great shots are just waiting to be captured. Snap, snap away!

Garden in a Bottle

You have heard of a message in a bottle but how about a garden in a bottle? Yes, you can have a small garden in a bottle. Grow some indoor plants in a bottle containing soil and enclosed. It should be able to survive because it produces carbon dioxide in the night but reuses it to produce oxygen in the daytime. In other words, it's self sufficient. I'm about to seal my bottle as seen in this photo. Pretty neat. A self contained eco-environment just for the plant. By the way do you know what this plant is called? I just picked it up from my car porch area.

Peeling away to the Core

The human heart is like an onion....layers upon layers of covering till the outer tough exterior that seems impenetrable. We can never know the true nature of a person from the exterior for what lies beneath is hidden very successfully. How long does it take to befriend and how much trust must we show before the real person is revealed? Every human heart is vulnerable and therefore is closely guarded. Who knows and fully understand what is deep down inside? Only the Creator can tell.

Bouncing Off the Wall

The term Back and Forth applies to many situations in life. Our daily travel to work goes in that particular rhythm. So does the flow of conversation between 2 persons, I said something and you say something...and so it goes.
But the back and forth action can be applied in a attack and defend mechanism. Particularly in games....attack when you are strong...defend when you need a break. But in this case the opponent is a stiff wall. The tennis ball just goes back and forth because somebody needs to practise his shots...real badly.

Attention Allure

It is not enough that our surroundings are full of colours, sound and feel but there are other elements that tries to grab our attention. I always get that feeling in a shopping mall. As I'm walking along, electronic boards draws my focus, melodic sound comng from another corner, credit card salesmen shoving pamphlets into my face and avoiding kids that are running around my knees. Distractions can be irritating but everyone just wants a bit of our attention. One thing that helps is screening, seeing only what we want to see like toilet directions, lifts, levels and directories.

Instinct to Survive

The will to survive is instinctive in every living creature. Plants and animals alike have a sense of thriving and prolonging life so that the species continue to live on. But the will to survive for us is ever so fragile. The daily stress of living in the concrete jungle is tough and takes a lot of strength to manage the pressure. May this unique plant give us inspiration to overcome all obstacles to move on in life knowing that a bright future is just above ...

Euro 2008

O..the excitement, thrills and agony...is almost coming to an end. Who will be the hero this year? The excellent photography and angles really captured the spectacular games. Every shot and spin of the ball is just too fantastic it makes the pitch roar with elation. The sound of fans cheering and shouting for their favourite teams adds a resonance of team work and encouragement. What a game? More, more, more .....may the best performance end the game with a blast this weekend.

The Surface of Mars

Could this be the surface of planet Mars? Well if men are from Mars and women are from Venus then no wonder men are so tough because it looks really inhospitable. Maybe underneath the surface lies a kingdom of paradise of a modern city. The true heart of an entity lies buried and is waiting to be discovered.....

Rough Vs Smooth

It is said that you can't compare an apple with an orange which is rightly so because they are both unique. Because whatever fruit it is, it tastes different and has it own properties. So goes with people...

The Passage of Time

Time...no matter how you look at it digital or analog, it moves on and waits for no one. 24 hours a day constantly ticking away.

At times we want it to move faster because we can't stand waiting for sometime to happen or finish but sometimes we hope and pray that time will not end especially when we are enjoying and savouring the moment.

One thing that I've learned about time is that our perception of time can be changed by our actions. Time seems to pass quicker when we are busied with something but time can be a drag when we are idle.
So the expression 'killing time' came about whereby we find something to do while waiting for time to pass and you'll find that it is not that long of a wait. But if you want to stretch your time, then you'll have to apply some time management skills such as prioritizing your activities and performing them in the shortest time. And there goes 3 minutes 34 seconds of my time.

Road Map of Life's Journey

Decisions, decisions. Everyday is a decision making day. Every wakening day is filled with decision making chores. But as the years passed by, decisions become harder and the consequences much greater. Many a times I trust my instincts despite the condescending mind to give in to other decision makers but the summission to higher authority disintegrates my sense of control. Submission to the wise is a blessing but following the unwise will lead to folly and frustrations.
Life demands making a right or left turn, unbeknownst to us what lies in the corner but still every turn is a learning experience. I only pray that I will be bestowed with wisdom from above to make the right moves at every crossroads in my life. Will we be happier if we know the road map of our lives or live the life of risk and adventure? That depends how we like to watch a movie. Do we prefer knowing how the story ends or sitting through it until it ends? That's your answer. Nuff said.

See yourself in 3D

Have you ever seen yourself outside yourself? Well, not exactly an out of body experience but only your teeth. This could be done when you pay your next visit at the dentist. You can ask for a caste of your set of teeth. Seeing my teeth in a 3 dimensional view is awesome. I get to view the inner part of my teeth which I never could with just a mirror and able to scrutinise each tooth individually. You can feel and touch the edges from different angles. The years of biting and chewing really worn them out and shaped them into misaligned mandibles. Hopefully they'll crunch and chomp chomp for many more years to come.

Tis the season for Santa Rob

What happens when there's a break-in? Well it stops your life! Literally. Because when your property is invaded and absconded, life has to be rebuilt. Even my blog has to take a back seat because my gateway to the cyberworld was stolen. Well, after a life of limbo now I'm back to write on...

Work that body!

Do you feel that you are not making full use of your gym club membership and just letting monthly fees go to waste. Well then sign up for an outdoor gym. No money required but your time and determination. Lots of fresh air and no loud disturbing music. It's between you and the equipment in the great outdoors. Build up your strength by using your own body weight. That way you know you won't over stress yourself. You can do chin up, sit up, push up, back hand push up, leg lift, spiderman lifts and whatever exercises that you can think of. It's really fun.

GorillaPod

Have you got one of this? The camera stand. It looks really fantastic. You can wrap it around a pole, tree branch, or any protruding object to get that perfect angle for your shot. Well, I can't wait. I'm gonna get mine soon.

MISA

What's so great about MISA, the Malaysia International Space Adventure? Nothing much. As a start, the ticket price is way too high.
Went there on 2 Mar 2008 and it was jammed pack with school kids. And what a mess. There was no proper directory and description of the various exhibits. No mention of what are the exhibits are about or what to expect.
The highlight of the exhibit is a 4D movie theatre but again no mention of how long and schedule. And worst of all no queue. Everybody who have been tired of waiting outside the theatre just kept pushing to get in. It's absolutely very badly organised. Well if you are planning to go there, please go on a weekday. Perhaps it will be less congested and making the visit a little more pleasant.

Out of Africa?

How picturesque can PJ be? Well this picture was taken from atop a small hill of a secret place.
